Mobile
Promotions supports missdorothy.com and the Kids Taskforce
Mobile Promotions is pleased to announce
that it is now an official sponsor of missdorothy.com
and their first ever ‘Kids Taskforce’. Mobile
Promotions forms the industry and marketing support for
the foundation, an NGO which aims to help children below
the age of 16 learn how to manage risk and lead safer
lives.
Mobile Promotions is a key supporter of the Kids Taskforce,
which supports the delivery of a consistent standard
of personal safety messages in schools using the missdorothy.com
and ‘Watch Over Me’ education programmes.
Winners of the Kids Taskforce Awards had their prizes
presented to them at the London Fire Brigade HQ. The
schools receiving awards had all been studying the missdorothy.com
learning programme, teaching children how to manage
risks in life, including fire, bullying, child predators,
roads, drugs, and gun and knife crime. Winners then
visited Downing Street and the London Eye.
Adult winners were presented with Kids Taskforce Champions
Awards at the House of Commons. The official launch
was held at No.2 Millbank with Lord Ahmed and the signing
of the partnership agreement by the ACPO, CFOA and the
PFA, laying out their support for the Taskforce.
Guests were shown a video message from Tony Blair and
the day culminated with special awards presented by
Nicholas Owen, given to the Prime Minister, Chancellor
Gordon Brown, former Home Secretary David Blunkett,
Home Office Minister Vernon Coaker and Fire Minister
Angela Smith for their support of the programme.
